break now the neck broke, the neck broke there high upon the bough
broke with a snap that, a snap that woke the darkness in the wood
woke now and weary, the wood waits there inside the hanging man
wait for the word life, a rune scratched into the swinging man's thigh
someone did come, someone did wake, carving in life, summoning night
speak and speak quick for breath is not long
to be drawn within your chest
sight beyond sight and knowing all
laugh at the gall of someone so
weak and now gape that ruddy maw
wide and deep red with jagged twigs
sucking for air though drowning in
blood as a fish strains in the air
behold black moth the first vessel
slide in spread out your great tendril
and now i see before me a black monarch
like a monolith with two broken jaws
like angel wings yawning in the dusk
and where there is one there will be legion
to keep the woods lovely and dark indeed
This Leipzig group makes mindbendingly great post-punk with tons of weird synth sounds adding to the demented funhouse feel. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2023
High-wire minimalist post-punk of the finest sort: the poetry of daily banality spit over molten guitar solos and elastic rhythms. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 20, 2017
