and in that darkness
that gentle play of ink and swirling hair
did spawn a strange light
all green and pale shimmer from deep below
and i did dive down
into a great expanse of piety
unto a dark god
a great unblinking eye, the blessed night
begat the dawning of the darkest day
night screams a strange way
bound down in your faith
night beats the bright day
and in that drowned world i did behold
a pious people
who did drive spikes in deep into their feet
to fix them in place
and so they kneel and pray wrapped in seaweed
respawn and strangle
bound by those green tendrils fully obscured
rocked by the slow tide
there in the dark sea, night spat up blindly
bound figures kneeling, bound to the dark sea
thousands there kneeling, silent summoning
lodged in the dark sea, loving their pleaing
silent unblinking, voices our building
strange night is screaming, screams from the dark sea
not from their praying, dark sea is screaming
horrid and heaving, wretch up the dark sea
now i must sleep, and wander with my queen
endless sleep, and dream there of my queen
This Leipzig group makes mindbendingly great post-punk with tons of weird synth sounds adding to the demented funhouse feel. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2023
High-wire minimalist post-punk of the finest sort: the poetry of daily banality spit over molten guitar solos and elastic rhythms. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 20, 2017
